Designing a heating system with solar energy usage in Auroora

Goal of this task

We should look into different options for solar energy systems and decide which type ir combination we invest into.

Current situation

Currently in the Auroora building there is  “hydronic heating system” with radiators in every room, old boiler (maybe around 1000 litres with electic heaters) in the basement in a boiler room. Pipes are in a pretty good condition and can be used.

There is an old wood furnace in the boiler room too that was used to heat up the boiler.

Pumps  might be still in good condition. Wood furnace is not and the boiler is old, but we don’t know if it is still usable.

There is two separate electric connections. One with lower current rating (3x25A) that is used around the building and one higher that has been used for electric heaters (3x60A is maybe the maximum now).

In the picture here you can see layout of the basement. “KATTILAH” is the boiler room. Downward is almost to the south. S and PH is the sauna. HALKOVARASTO has been a wood storage room.
